A lifelong Washington-state native, Donald Sewell has been photographing the great Pacific Northwest since 1979. His first Camera was a Zeiss-Ikon 35mm that his Dad bought for him at a pawn shop, and thus began the journey. Donald has combined his love for travel with a keen eye for composition, to produce award-winning and critically acclaimed photographs. Sewell Scenics Photography was established in 1994 as a way of sharing the adventures and timeless moments that nature has to offer. Donald’s passion for nature and gift for composition is evident in his photographs. What was once a hobby from 1979 to 2010, has now given way to a full-time pursuit of passion and excellence through his eyes and lenses.
Over the years, Donald has garnered 37 awards at the Spokane Interstate Fair and is a popular vendor on the local Craft Fair circuit every spring and fall. In addition, he has been recognized for his excellence with another fifty awards on local entries in Capture Inland Northwest. He is also published annually in a variety of calendars produced for Real Estate markets by TrueImage Publishing.
