Summer Reading, Discover Earth, Expo…LOTS at the Libraries
There’s still time to sign up for Summer Reading at the Library. This year we’re doing Summer Reading for kids, teens AND grown-ups.
Summer Reading is off to a fantastic start! Through the month of June we have had 6,548 kids, teens and grown-ups sign up for the Summer Reading Program. That’s pretty amazing, and we hope even more people will enroll. It’s easy: just head to your local library or click here, fill out a quick form and then get reading. Reading is our favorite, but we’re pretty good at math too. If all of the people who have signed up (so far) read 15 books that would be over 98,000 books read! Amazing Spokane, keep it up! And remember, all adults who sign up and read for 15 hours (and turn in their reading log), will be entered to win one of three Android tablets provided generously by the Spokane Public Library Foundation. Kids and teens who complete 15 hours or 15 books can pick out a free book to keep (donated by the Friends of the Library).
